Animal Information
Guernsey Animal Information
The Animal Information available from this new facility provides for the first time a continously updated source of breeding information for any and all Guernsey animals that are registered within the EGCS system. It provides information on demand and details of the GMI, Milk Records and Classification scores and also all progeny of both bulls and cows.
Each animal in the system can be viewed at the click of the mouse and the pages can be printed off screen. Some of the records stretch back as far as 1940. There are still a few gaps in the data but that should improve as the next proof run in Feb is added as the type information is recalculated.
Each "proven" bull has a bar chart showing the type traits and we are planning to provide lists of the bulls with semen available which again will be updated automatically after each quarterly proof run.
Please have a look at the Animal Information option and let us know at egcs@guernseycattle.com if you find any obvious errors/omissions in the data which we will correct as soon as possible. For the first time EGCS will be able to enter details of Classification of the Female ancestors of Imported bulls which will then appear on the Pedigrees, I will enter these details for the current US bulls and will add details of older bulls as soon as I can.

The November proofs are now published, clicking on the bulls name will you take you to the CDI website where you can view his pedigree and see his Progeny.Coulee Crest Poker Stardust is a new entry and is No 1 on the US PTI ranking he is a maternal brother to Silverado.

This table contains August proofs and HUK have managed to remove cows that are known to have left herds, if you do see a cow listed,that is no longer present then please let us know.
